Internationalization Officer

Hi everyone,

I would just like to shortly introduce myself and my aims as this year’s internationalization officer. My name is Emily and I’m half Swiss and half Hungarian. I just started my second year of GMSI and am really looking forward to what this year has in store for us. I joined POLIS during TOPweek last year and it has really been one of the greatest parts of my student life.

Many of you are probably unaware of what an internationalization officer is, frankly I was too. To put it simply, my role is to facilitate the integration of international student into POLIS and act as contact person for them. If you have concerns about being an international member of  POLIS or have ideas about the internationalization of POLIS feel free to contact me*. Throughout the whole year I will be actively working on making internationals feel welcome and with the help of the Board tackle any issues that they may be facing. Furthermore, I hope to emphasize the numerous benefits that a diverse association has to offer and also give internationals the opportunity to share their cultures with the rest of the members.

I look forward to working with all of you next year!

Your internationalization officer,

Emily Szabo
